A Brief Letter to Jimmy Walker, Who Does Not Think Marriage Equality is Dy-No-Mite!

Jimmy’s own words, Via The Randy Report ~

“There’s just certain traditions that need to be upheld. I’ll give you the other side of it — no, it doesn’t affect me, no, it doesn’t change my life. There’s just traditions that need to be dealt with. I’m a believer that gay marriage should be passed because the battle is not worth the war. The gay lobby is very loud. I’m totally against it.

“In 100 years from now, people are going to go, ‘Who was against gay marriage?’ And I’ll be one of those idiots and say, ‘That’s me.’ I’m just against it on moral grounds, that’s it. I’m as much a heathen as anybody. I just don’t believe on moral grounds it should be done. I don’t like it, I don’t accept it.”

Dear Jimmy ~

(That is your name, right?  It’s been so long!)

FYI, I don’t like your “acting.”  I’m just against it on moral grounds.  In 100 years from now, people are going to say ~ well ~ probably very little about you or your “acting,” however, since you will have long since been forgotten.  I’m sure that by then even TV Land will have tossed you into the bin of decaying nostalgia upon reaching the conclusion that you were just a very lucky man with very little to offer.  But thanks for adding your voice to today’s internet cacophony.

(On the plus side, somehow your press agent launched a quote of yours into the cybersphere, which shows that your career is doing better than it was yesterday.  You’re on an upward trajectory!  The last time I thought about you was ~ Wait ~ Lemme think ~ Hold on a second! ~ Wait ~ It’s coming to me ~ Good grief!  So much pressure ~ Just give me a sec! ~ nineteen sevennnnnnty seven? eight? ~ Oh fuck it!  I can’t remember the last time i thought about you. So mazel tov on today’s breakthrough!  You tryin’ to get a reality show or somethin’?)

Sincerely, Ian
