God, Angry at Manny Pacquiao’s Anti-Gay Comments, Punishes Him with His First Loss in 7 Years

(AP) LAS VEGAS – Timothy Bradley promised to shock, though the biggest shock in his fight with Manny Pacquiao came from the judges’ scorecards.

In a fight Pacquiao seemed to have in hand, two judges decided otherwise, giving Bradley a split decision Saturday night and ending the Filipino fighter’s remarkable seven-year unbeaten run.

Back in May, Pacquiao was accused of quoting Leviticus 20:13 in an interview with the National Conservative Examiner and saying that gays should be “put to death”.  He claims he never said that ~ indeed, he couldn’t have, as he has not yet even read the Book of Leviticus.  But in his apology/explanation, he did say this, via RadarOnline ~

“I didn’t say that, that’s a lie…I didn’t know that quote from Leviticus because I haven’t read the Book of Leviticus yet,” he said.

Pacquiao, the first-ever to win titles in eight different weight classes, continued his explanation: “I’m not against gay people… I have a relative who is also gay. We can’t help it if they were born that way. What I’m critical of are actions that violate the word of God. I only gave out my opinion that same sex marriage is against the law of God.”

Apparently that explanation didn’t satisfy God, who chose to punish Pacquiao’s misuse of His name by ending his 15 fight, 7 year winning streak.  Here’s hoping that Manny heeds His warning.
